We're excited to have added the new H2S Combo from Bambu Lab to our showroom in Memphis. It's keeping our P1S Combo company while they both churn out prints for us.

We went ahead and ran the initial calibrations, as well as calibrating it with Vision Encoder plate.
After that, we loaded up our filament and started printing. It's a quick and easy set up. The hardest part of the process is getting it up onto the table. At 90 pounds fully boxed, we recommended inviting a friend over to help with the heavy lifting.
Under the Hood
The H2S mixes and matches features of the H2D and and the A1 series. Like both the H2D and the A1, it uses the quick release HotEnd mechanism.
The printer is the same footprint as the H2D, and uses the same large build plate, available as a textured plate or smooth plate. The heated chamber the H2S shares with the H2D also allows for the best printing environment for high temperature materials like PPS-CF, PA6-GF, and ASA.
The purge wiper and bubble covered extruder are both modeled after the A1.
H2D versus H2S
Which machine is right for you? It depends on your needs. At $1499, the H2S Combo provides a great large build volume for its price point, with the quality we've come to expect from Bambu Lab 3D printers. It is a single nozzle machine, so you do still have quite a bit of purge filament and purge time between color changes.
The H2D Combo, starting at $2299, has the benefit of dual nozzles with two full extrusion systems. This increases efficiency with minimal time and filament spent on purging. If you're printing a high grade engineering material like the PPA-CF that has to run on an external spool, the dual nozzle set up is essential if you want to run a secondary material for support.
