The Olsson Ruby Nozzle

3DVerkstan

One nozzle for all materials.

The ruby tip provides exceptional wear resistance for printing with abrasive materials such as metal- or carbon-fiber-filled filaments, or glow-in-the-dark plastics, while retaining the exceptional thermal characteristics of a primarily brass nozzle. It also prints perfectly well with less-harsh materials, making it a great choice for everyday use.

The 2.85mm variant of this nozzle fits the Olsson block (which is standard on the Ultimaker 2+ and Extended+, or an optional add on for the Ultimaker 2 and 2 Extended) and is a direct replacement for the standard 0.4mm nozzle tip. It is also compatible with E3D hotends. (See the full compatibility list.)

Testimonials

The Olsson Ruby nozzle is proving its worth time and again in real world applications with difficult and abrasive materials. Read some of the testimonials, to see how it could work for you.

Verified Performance

The nozzle has been extensively tested with PLA, ABS, CPE/PET, Nylon, and composites with abrasive additives such as Carbon fibre, Steel, Wood, Boron Carbide, Tungsten and Phosphorescent pigment.

The nozzles are designed by the Olsson's block's originator, Anders Olsson, and manufactured in Sweden to the highest standards.  For more details, visit olssonruby.com.

The nozzle is currently available in 3 different sizes: 0.4mm, 0.6mm or 0.8mm opening. There are two different variants of each available, suitable for either 2.85mm or 1.75mm filament, respectively

The 2.85mm variant is compatible with the standard Ultimaker 2+/2X+, or requires an Olsson Block for use with an Ultimaker 2 series printer. It is not compatible with Ultimaker 3 series machines.

The 1.75mm variant can be used with other printers which have E3D V4/V5/V6 1.75mm hotends.
