xTool Wood Printing Fixative Spray

xTool Wood Printing Fixative Spray is a clear, fast-drying pre-print coating for wood that you apply before inkjet printing on the xTool M2 or xTool M1 Ultra. It prepares the wood surface so printed artwork comes out with richer color saturation and cleaner edges, without the ink bleeding into the grain.

Why Use It

• Brighter prints: helps inkjet colors stay vivid on plywood and other compatible wood surfaces.
• Less bleeding: keeps patterns crisp by reducing how far ink spreads into the wood.
• Dries in about 5 minutes: spray, wait briefly, and move straight to printing.
• Clear finish: goes on transparent, so it does not tint the wood.
• Good coverage: one can treats about 12 pieces of 12 × 12 in. plywood with one coat, or about 6 pieces with two coats.

How to Use

1. Clean the surface of the wood.
2. Shake the can several times.
3. Hold the nozzle at a 45° to 60° angle, 10 to 14 in. from the board, and spray evenly across the surface. Two light coats give the most even result.
4. Let the coating dry for about 5 minutes, then print using the inkjet mode on your xTool M2 or M1 Ultra.

Storage and Safety

This is a flammable aerosol containing ethanol and a propane/butane propellant. Use it in a well-ventilated area, avoid breathing the spray mist, and keep it away from heat, sparks, open flames, and direct sunlight. Store the can at 113°F (45°C) or below and out of reach of children.
