1. Can the Einstar2 be used outdoors?
Yes. The Einstar2 is designed for flexible use, including outdoor scanning environments below 110,000 Lux in Laser HD mode, and below 70,000 Lux in IR Rapid mode.
2. Can the Einstar 2 capture color as well as shape?
Yes. It captures full RGB color.
3. Do I need a computer to scan?
The scanner needs to be synced to a computer for scanning, either wirelessly or with a wired connection. The free ExStar Hub software runs on both Windows and Mac computers.
4. What file formats does it produce?
It produces STL, OBJ, PLY, 3MF, and ASC files.
5. What's in the box?
The Einstar 2 comes with the scanner itself, a carrying case, rechargeable batteries, a battery compartment and charging cable, calibration board, universal holder, power adapter, USB C to USB C cable, a screen protector, and 3mm and 6mm reflective markers.
