xTool X1 is an all-in-one laser cutter and engraver built around a 55W CO2 laser and a 24.2 x 12.6 in. working area. It starts as a capable CO2 machine for cutting wood, acrylic, and leather. Add the 20W Diode Galvo Module for engraving at up to 6,000mm/s, then expand into glass and metal with 5W UV, 30W Fiber, or 60W MOPA laser sources, all on the same platform. The X1 is designed for small business owners, makers, and anyone outgrowing an entry-level laser who wants one machine that can take on new materials as the work changes.

Highlights

  • Hybrid Motion for galvo speed at gantry scale. A four-axis flying-galvo system coordinates gantry motion and galvo scanning under one motion controller, so large-format jobs and batches run at up to 6,000mm/s with the galvo head.
  • Laser Swap for five laser options. UV, Fiber, and MOPA sources route through a shared flying optical path into one galvo head, so you can add a laser later without replacing the machine.
  • Automated Creation System for less setup. Place the material, close the lid, select a design, and press Start. Triple cameras, LiDAR ranging, and an AutoLift base handle scanning, height, focus, and alignment, while EasySet recommends settings for identified materials.
  • Class 1 safety on a rigid frame. Eleven machine sensors and a flame detection camera monitor every job. The UniCast frame replaces nearly 100 assembled parts with three die-cast aluminum alloy frames for long-term stability and precision.

Choosing a Laser

  • 55W CO2. Included with every X1 and suited to cutting wood, acrylic, leather, paper, and other common non-metal materials.
  • 20W Diode. Fast, detailed engraving on wood, leather, dark acrylic, cardstock, and more. This module is required before adding UV, Fiber, or MOPA.
  • 5W UV. The only X1 laser source that supports glass inner engraving, with low-heat processing for ultra-fine detail on crystal, glass, and many other materials.
  • 30W Fiber. Everyday metal marking and deep 3D engraving for names, logos, serial numbers, and standard designs.
  • 60W MOPA. Advanced metal processing, including color engraving, deep engraving, embossing, and metal cutting, with faster processing than the 30W Fiber.
