xTool P2S 55W Desktop CO2 Laser Cutter

The xTool P2S is a 55W desktop CO2 laser cutter and engraver for makers, studios, and small production shops that want real cutting power in a compact, enclosed machine. This is the standalone configuration: the laser, its included accessories and starter materials, and everything needed for a first setup.

Power and Working Area

The CO2 laser source absorbs efficiently across wood, acrylic, and hundreds of other materials, handling thick stock in one pass.

• 55W CO2 laser cuts 20 mm acrylic and 18 mm basswood or black walnut in a single pass.
• 600 × 305 mm (23.6 in. × 12 in.) working area gives roughly 50% more bed space than many desktop CO2 lasers, which pays off in batch production.
• 600 mm/s top speed with 6,400 mm/s² X-axis acceleration for faster engraving.
• Broad material range: cuts wood, acrylic in every color including clear, leather, fabric, EVA foam, felt, rubber, cork, paper, and cardboard. It engraves coated metal, glass, bamboo, and ceramic, but does not cut metal or glass. Plywood thicker than 12 mm is not recommended.

Smart Setup and Positioning

Two 16MP cameras do the measuring. The panoramic camera previews the whole bed without distortion, while the close-range camera positions artwork on small pieces with 0.3 mm accuracy, so delicate jewelry and gifts land exactly where intended. LiDAR ranging and autofocus set the height automatically, and AI fire detection, a smart door lock, and the enclosed cabinet with a laser filter cover keep daily operation safer.

Long, Curved, and Thick Materials

AutoPassthrough™ feeds material up to 118 in. long for signs, railings, and long runs. 3D Curve™ engraving wraps artwork around curved surfaces, and the optional riser base raises processing height to 215 mm for thicker objects. A compatible rotary attachment adds cylindrical work such as tumblers and rings.

Software and Workflow

xTool's free XCS software handles design and machine control in one place, with AI-assisted image generation, more than 20,000 templates, a Material EasySet™ library of tested parameters, Smart Fill for batch positioning, and auto-path planning. Connect over USB-C or Wi-Fi, and keep working offline when no network is available. Files open in SVG, DXF, JPG, PNG, BMP, and TIF.
