Product details
Features & specifications
Bambu Lab PA6-CF is a 1.75mm carbon fiber reinforced nylon 6 filament with superior stiffness and strength in dry environments, made for load-bearing structural parts. It resists impact and vibration and has a heat deflection temperature of 186°C. It is not compatible with any AMS series.
Highlights
- Superior strength and stiffness. 151 MPa bending strength and 5460 MPa stiffness in the dry state.
- Impact and vibration resistance. For models that need to withstand impact, collision, and vibration. Prints get tougher after more than a day in a humid environment.
- Exceptional thermal resistance. A heat deflection temperature of 186°C at 0.45 MPa.
- Ready to load. Comes on a high temperature reusable spool.

Printing and Care
- Dry thoroughly. This filament absorbs moisture readily. Keep unused filament in a sealed container with desiccant right away, and dry it thoroughly before printing.
- Mind the moisture. Strength and stiffness drop after the filament absorbs water, so it is not recommended for models with high strength, stiffness, or dimensional stability requirements, especially thin and elongated ones. Damp prints usually become tougher, so you can dampen a print in advance if it needs high toughness.
- Remove supports early. Take supports off within 2 hours of printing, before damp prints soften. If removal is difficult, dry the print and let it cool first.
- Protect the surface. Fully coating prints with paint, wax, or other waterproof coatings can inhibit water absorption and keep them from softening.
- Wear gloves. Carbon fiber filament can produce fine fiber debris, and the filament surface and ends may carry hard microscopic splinters. Wear puncture- and cut-resistant gloves and safety goggles when loading filament, removing supports, cutting, or sanding, and avoid touching rough edges and cross-sections with bare hands.
- Print safely. Use a well-ventilated area, and keep filament and fragments away from children and pets. This filament is not food-grade, so do not use finished prints for food storage or contact.
